It is recommended that a lightning protection system which is fitted to structures new and old should be tested and visually inspected every 11 months in the following circumstances:
Where the system forms part of your planned maintenance programme
After building refurbishment that may alter the external fabrication where conductors run
Where a structure has been known to have been struck by lightning that has a system already fitted
Where lightning protection systems are exposed to mechanical stresses created by high winds and extreme environmental conditions such as salt air
Where systems may be liable to be vandalised or stolen
The lightning protection system should be maintained regularly and if repairs are found to be necessary, these should be carried out as soon as possible and not left until the next maintenance check.
We can design new systems and upgrade old ones to the British Standard BSEN 62305 for modern and architecturally sensitive structures.
Our design team have Atlas accreditation to enable the correct level of protection to be incorporated.
The lightning protection system will be installed by our trained fitters who are professional in their attitude to provide a high level of service on any project.
